  • Warranty & Technical Assistance

    Does Eugénio Campos Jewels products have warranty?

    Eugénio Campos Jewels items have a guarantee valid for 3 years from the date of purchase. During this period, items with a manufacturing defect will be replaced. However, we inform you that the misuse or natural wear and tear of the items are not covered by the warranty.

    Any technical assistance provided requires a prior analysis, if the repair requires costs, the customer will be informed in advance.

    The warranty does not include: loss, theft, deterioration, oxidation, defects caused by blows, including deformations caused by daily use and/or, inadequate maintenance and cleaning, negligence, improper handling, modifications of the original product, unauthorized repairs by the brand, accidents or normal wear and tear.

    The warranty conditions are governed by the portuguese Decree-Law No. 84/2021, of October 18th, which regulates consumer rights in the purchase of goods, under Directives (EU) 2019/771 and (EU) 2019/770, of 20th of May.

    Among other rules, the diploma establishes:

    - Consumer rights in the event of lack of conformity (namely defects) of movable and other goods;
    - Extension of the warranty period for movable goods from 2 to 3 years, in which the consumer will have to prove in the third year that the defect already existed when the goods were first delivered;
    - Additional period of six months if the consumer chooses to have the item repaired (up to a maximum of 4 repairs);
    - The "right of rejection" that allows the consumer to freely choose between replacing the good and terminating the contract when the non-compliance is manifested within the first 30 days after delivery;

    How to preserve the jewelry

    To maintain the durability and shine of your jewelry, it is essential to take into account that moisture and perspiration can cause corrosion, so it is important to avoid wearing the jewelry when taking a shower, in the sauna and during physical exercise. Be careful with make-up, creams, perfumes and chemicals as they can tarnish the jewelry.

    Store your jewelry in a dry place, if you live in a place with high humidity, keep the jewelry wrapped in tissue paper in a sealed container to prevent oxidation.

    Avoid storing your jewelry all together or using it in activities that could compromise its integrity, such as: sleeping, physical contact or other activities.

    Silver jewelry

    Despite its durability, depending on use, silver tends to tarnish and react to air and chemicals. To avoid these situations, it is essential to regularly polish with a flannel cloth to maintain its shine.

    Gold jewelry

    To maintain the shine and elegance of gold jewelry, the simplest way is to clean with liquid soap with a neutral pH and warm water. Use a small, soft brush and for the hardest-to-clean areas you can use a toothbrush.

    If for any reason you are not satisfied with your order, you can return the items within 14 days or exchange within 30 days after the date of purchase, except made-to-order or personalized pieces. During the period from November 1st to December 14th, you can exchange your purchases until January 14th of the following year.

Placing an order

By placing an order on the Website the User must create an account, registering and introduce all the requested data.

Payment and Billing 

Eugénio Campos Jewels offers different types of payment methods including credit card, MB Way, PayPal  and ATM payments.

Payments are intermediated by Easypay - - Instituição de Pagamento Lda to Eugénio Campos Jewels.

Eugénio Campos Jewels guarantees the security and confidentiality of the data provided, and the card details are encrypted by SSL.

To prevent fraud in transactions and payments, Eugénio Campos Jewels has preventive and sophisticated mechanisms that analyze all purchases that appear to be fraudulent.

To ensure that a transaction is not a fraud, Eugénio Campos Jewels may request additional information.

In case the User refuses to provide such additional information, Eugénio Campos Jewels can deny the order.

Despite the use of advanced technology, it's possible to occur errors on the system. In case this happen the User should contact Eugénio Campos Jewels. 

Regarding PayPal payments, the order amount is debited automatically to the User Paypal account.

For credit card payments, the purchase will be only completed when the User credit is verified. If the transaction is rejected by the bank the purchase will be canceled automatically.

If the amount charged results from a fraud or misuse of the User's card number by a third party, the User may request the cancellation of the charge by sending an email to online@eugeniocampos.pt. Once it is found that in fact  was a fraud, Eugénio Campos Jewels will refund the order amount.

If it is found that the fraudulent operation was actually triggered by the User and he requires its cancellation, the User has to compensate Eugénio Campos Jewels for the damages.

The invoice will present all the information provided by the User: the list of all products purchased, shipping costs and taxes. The invoice can´t be change.

If the user doesn´t make the payment within 24 hours, Eugénio Campos Jewels reserves the right to cancel the order.

 

Order Confirmation

The purchase will be completed as soon as the User clicks on the "Checkout" button and it will be confirmed by an e-mail from Eugénio Campos Jewels within 24 hours.

The confirmation email will indicate the order number that the User must use every time he wishes to communicate with Eugénio Campos Jewels. The order number is required to inform about any changes or inaccuracies in the order. Any charges resulting from inaccuracies that are not reported in time will be borne by the User.

If one or more product ordered by the User are not available, Eugénio Campos Jewels notifies their unavailability.

 

Shipping & Delivery

By placing an order the user can use the following modalities:

- Home Delivery – After the order is placed an email will be sent with the tracking code provided by the shipping company to track the order and confirm the delivery date.

- Delivery in a Authorized Agent – The user may select a Eugénio Campos Jewels representative to pick up his items. To have this option the user must select the agent before finalizing the purchase.

Normally the delivery time is 24 hours, but can suffer delayed due to logistics difficulties that may occur, shipping delays or stock break.

All orders are deliver only in Portugal, Madeira and Azores. Posts cards are not accepted as delivery addresses.

Shipping companies upon delivery might provide a document to be signed by the User or the person who is duly authorized to receive the order that proof the reception of the order. Assuming that anyone at the delivery location has the power to receive the order.

Shipping costs are paid by the User. For orders of € 99 or more, shipping costs will be borne by Eugénio Campos Jewels.

Orders are usually delivered within 1-2 business days in Portugal and 5-6 business days in Madeira and Azores, only if the payment has been made by 2pm on the day the order was submitted and unless situations arise due to difficulties. logistics, delays or stock breaks

To deliver orders Eugénio Campos Jewels works with CTT Expresso and Chronopost.

 

Campaigns, Promotions and Discounts

Eugénio Campos Jewels is entire responsible for the creation of all campaigns, promotions or discounts and also has the right to choose in which countries they may occur.

The Campaigns are subject to the conditions indicated for each individual promotion, as well as to these Terms and Conditions of sale, the User recognizing that in case of conflict, the rules applicable to the specific conditions of the Campaign in force will prevail.

If a Campaign has as its objective the offer of some good or product and the User exercises his right to withdraw or return the purchased product, the act also implies the return of the offered product.

The offers received cannot be sold or transferred to third parties by the User with the aim of obtaining, directly or indirectly, an financial profit.

The User may renounce the free offer, but may not request or obtain any compensation for its renouncement.

During the various campaigns, the enjoyment of the same is only considered after the effective payment of the order within a maximum period of 24 hours. Also, it is informed that during the Campaigns, deliveries may be delayed.

Exchanges and Returns

The User by purchasing Eugénio Campos Jewels products through the Website has the right to return products or exchanged it in a period of 14 days and has to communicate it by email online@eugeniocampos.pt

Upon arrival of the returned items, Eugénio Campos Jewels will control and check the quality of the product (s), validating  their exchange or return.

After validated the exchange or return, the following rules must be respected:

  • Exchange: if the User exchange for a product more expensive will be charged an extra value or will be returned in case he exchange for a lower value, both through the same initial payment.

  • Returns: After validation Eugénio Campos Jewels will return the value through the same payment method used at the time of purchase, not including shipping costs of express mail. If you wish to receive a refund through another payment method, please inform Eugénio Campos Jewels by email: online@eugeniocampos.pt. Refunds will only be made after the reception of returned items.

Other conditions:

  • Eugénio Campos Jewels does not accept any exchange or return of personalized products.

  • The User by sending one or more items for exchange or return is responsible for the safety and proper shipment of the products to the address of Eugénio Campos, Lda. Eugénio Campos Jewels wont take charges of any damage or injury resulting from this transportation.

Post Sales

Eugénio Campos Jewels products have 2-year of warranty. After the warranty expires Eugénio Campos Jewels provides technical assistance. Defective articles should be reported to the following email: online@eugeniocampos.pt. If the repair requires costs the User will be informed in advance for approval.

 

Products warranty

During the warranty period, the defective product will be repaired free of charge or replaced with a similar item.

In cases where is not possible to repair a product, the User will have to present the product warranty indicating the date of purchase, name, address and the product reference together with the purchase invoice or other suitable proof of purchase.

The warranty excludes breakage, loss, theft, deterioration, oxidation, defects caused by striking, including deformation caused by daily and / or improper use, improper maintenance and cleaning, neglect, mishandling and unauthorized product repairs or modifications.

During the warranty period, the item with a manufacturing defect will be repaired free of charge or replaced by a similar model.

In cases where it is not possible to repair the item, the User will have to present the non-conforming item, together with the original of the respective guarantee certificate, duly and completely filled in (indication of the date of purchase, name and address and the reference given to the good - when applicable - or product name) and the purchase invoice or other suitable proof of purchase.
